I think that was something smart on twitters end, is that if you want to use it on your mobile phone your still getting everything as if you were sitting infront of a computer. Its user friendly and your not missing out on anything. Also, its a way to connect faster and find out information for efficiently.
I think the adult is trying to understand the use of Twitter and how it can help their promotion work. Plus the use of mobile device probably helped them get motivation to use twitter to keep in touch with general.
I do think that adults are using twitter a lot more, especially for business and professional purposes. Although my mom, my grandparents, and other older relatives have a facebook for their personal stuff, I do not see them anytime soon getting a twitter for anything other than maybe business promotions and purposes. Maybe my family is not average, but they are a little bit slow at catching on to how to use these tools...
The interesting thing is that a large percentage of this class ( 20-21 age group) and another class (19-20 age group) are not even on Twitter. Same with Second life and other virtual worlds. So who is using these media, the answer older folks in the age group of 30-45. Interesting turn of events dont you think?
