New Adobe Flash software allows users to create & sell iPhone apps

Posted by Annessa in ,

Adobe's new Flash Professional CS 5 will allow users to convert their Flash software into iPhone apps.  If Apple approves these apps, they will be available for purchase in the iPhone store. The article goes on to discuss the possibility of providing the Flash programmer community with a business model to distribute their products, which they were otherwise lacking. If an app ranks high in the app store, it is sure to produce a lot of revenue. Though it isn't common, one app developer in Indonesia was said to purchase a house with the money he made from a very successful app.

Almost every person I know with an iPhone has at least 20 apps on it. Do you think that this will be a successful way for flash programmers to make a profit?

i think that having a flash app might be more out of curiosity, but im not sure people will take it as serious as they want them too. Also, Adobe updates their systems at least once every year or two, so if there is a price conflict, whos to say people wont always be waiting for the next and better thing?
