L.A. to change to Gmail

Posted by Leo Lei in

It seems that even in a low budget, cost cutting, and unstable economy, Google is still able to attract business. L.A., in this example, is deciding to make a deal with Google to switch its current e-mail provider from Novell to its Gmail services. Novell tries to defend by stating that the transition will cost $1.5 million to "learn" how to use Gmail, which is free. The city will probably save money in the long-run using Gmail, but it will still cost the taxpayers $1.5 million.
