Murdoch Doesn't like Google

The article brings up an interesting idea for Bing to use exclusive content and to pay for it in order to compete with Google. If they can get enough big names on-board early, then it may work. If it is only one or two sources like the New York Times, it will likely not work.

The print industry in general likes to pretend that they are ostriches and bury their heads in the dirt. In my opinion (very humble) the print industry will eventually disappear, just not yet. For many years they plugged their years and decided to yell lalalalala and see if the problem would go away. Now that it did not, they are trying out various ways to still keep the business model going. Similar lessons are waiting for the TV entertainment industry.

I don't see this helping Bing take away Google's customers because i feel that most people wouldn't realize that the content is missing from the Google search. Personally if I searched for something on Google and I didn't find what I was looking for, I would not switch search engines to find it. I would assume that I put in the wrong search terms.
