apparently, those tech savvy, stay in doors all day, online "geek" type neighbors you may have might be the best kind. This article talks about how those types of neighbors are even more likely to get themselves and neighbors out of the house and volunteering!

I have recently done a research proposal for my senior thesis about reality television. In one of the studies I found, the results stated that people that stay home and have no social interactions are more likely to watch reality television to fulfill their social and companionship needs. So this made me think that maybe these tech savvy people can fulfill their needs on the internet, therefore are more willing to be great neighbors.
