Marketing has been headed in this direction for a long time and will continue in this direction no matter what the results of this campaign are. Now that a reputable company is finally going to take the plunge, it won't be long before ditching tv ads becomes mainstream.
If Pepsi fails with this campaign, it would only be a deterrent to online marketing rather than a complete abandonment of online marketing.

The interesting note in this article is that we will cover some stories of both people and corporations acting silly and making mistakes that actually ended up costing them dearly.
