Study: Consumers Are Not Annoyed by Ads on Facebook

Good news for Facebook and for advertisers. Consumers of the social media have nothing more negative to say about ads in social media than in any other location on the web...
Not half bad, right?

As of August 2009, 22% of 2000 people surveyed actually had a positive attitude toward the ads.

I can see that. The ads on Facebook are tailored quite well to the information posted on your profile, making them actually relevant and interesting sometimes. They are also quite passive with ad implementation. There are only ads on the sides of the page and they don't distract you from whatever you are doing on the page. I find ads on Facebook to be saying "Hey, you might like this! If you want, you can check it out" and not "PICK ME PICK ME!"

I would agree that the ads are generally not intrusive, but if I am to believe some of these ads, there are some very attractive people trying to search for me on Google.
