Google Sorts Through Applications for Fiber Network

Lately, Google has been looking to expand into the services industry, and has been accepting applications to determine where to launch a pilot fiber network. They have already received over 600 applications, and are starting to narrow them down into candidates for inclusion in the first experimental version. While there's no guarantee that Google can avoid the pitfalls and challenges faced by existing ISP's, it cannot be denied that many eager Google fans are already lining up for the chance to be their customers. I hope Rochester gets chosen as a test site. We recently underwent a multi-million dollar project to increase our fiber optics infrastructure, so hopefully that will give us a leg up on our competitors.
