Here is an interesting article on what can be with public information on social networking sites. Like using web analytics internet entrepreneur Pete Warden used public data (your "info" from your Facebook) to track locations of users and locations of their friends. Check out the cool visualization and full article here.

when we were talking about web analytics in class it definitely got me thinking about what people can find out about me, especially through facebook since it's the main site i use. it is interesting how this person was able to organize all of these people based on their location, where their friends are, and what pages they are fans of. it is also kind of creepy in a way since i clicked on the rochester, ny group and saw someone i recognized. either way, its definitely a good example of web analytics.
