Next big thing: the cell phone as broadcast camera

Posted by Anton Abraham in

It's interesting to have cell phones broadcast video live to the internet. You can see what's going on the real live show or see what the person doing right now. You can use your phone to see through the video wherever you are.

Read this article and what is your opinion about having cell phone video on the internet.

I think this is a really cool idea, considering uploading videos can be as simple as clicking a button on your phone instead of plugging a video camera into your computer, then going through the process of editing, and the painstaking waiting to actually upload this gigantic file online.
I definitely agree that it will probably spam most sites with useless videos, but at the same time with a growing knowledge of all things internet, there will always be useless stuff dealing with any new technology.
I dfinitely think that this opens up numerous doors to what websites can do with customer service and online help.. instead of emailing or instant chatting with a person who can not really explain to you what to do they could upload a video so you can visually learn how to do it rather than guessing. Brands could show how to do/ how to make videos, etc...
I definitely think that this will become successful considering our population would rather watch something on video than be bothered to read it...

This idea was previously tested out by Asian and European mobile service providers and dropped later due to limitations in bandwidth. Surprisingly it has made a comeback, this is going to make youtube happy.
