Google is betting for mobile ads on smartphones

Posted by Thomas Barguirdjian in , , , ,

Google announced that it has developed a new feature for AdSense. The feature allowed mobile publishers to run special Google text ads when the site is visited by a smartphone. The advantage of this new features allows the ads to have more sophisticated design and some images, instead of the pure text ads that run on regular cell phones.

A researching firm predicts that by 2013 mobile search in the United States will account for less than 2% of Google's revenue.

Is Google making the right move by throwing itself behind mobile ads for smartphones?
