Internet Info Lasts Forever? Check out the Proof

So the topic of Internet Marketing always seems to be how companies look for ways to utilize social media and the personal information available to gain insight on the habits of internet users. Today we even went a step further and talked about web crawlers and their jobs indexing and cataloging information for search engines who're trying to segment millions of web searches.

However web crawlers can be used in other ways as well. Indexing text to search for key terms is one thing, but web crawlers also can collect entire websites and all of their content, long after the sites themselves have been disbanded and deleted.

Check out this link here and type in any website you're familiar with, and then sit back and be amazed at the many different years of the many versions that have come and gone, even perhaps those that are no longer there. It'll surprise you...

This is the craziest thing I've seen in a while! Its amazing to see how much things have changed. I personally was able to find a blog that I kept my freshman year of high school and had since deleted. It is kind of creepy how everything is saved, and is a good reminder to be mindful of what you post on the internet. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah I know! I mean mostly we're taught that once you delete something its gone forever, but here we see that's not the case. Honestly I thought more people would comment on this post because of that, heh.
