Google sees record $1.6bn profit

Further proof of what we discussed in class. $1.6 billion dollars, now that is clear proof that search engine marketing is where most of the online marketing dollars will end up. The analysts seem to think that this will be sustainable, my impression is that this is going to keep growing.

I think this profit being so high is incredible for Google. As stated in the article posted, ""The worst of the recession is clearly behind us," said Google chief executive Eric Schmidt". This quote does give great validity to the high profit made--in a recession, doing this well profitably is a huge success! And just think, this profit can grow and grow from here...
