Marketers still prefer paper

Posted by William Robles

I found an articles talking about marketers using paper to attract consumers to their business via mailing catalogues. They say that using catalogues generates a higher percentage of interaction with consumers and businesses with more visits to their websites and revenue. In the end of the article they also comment about "iCatalog" idea in the making, which targets the digital world and using less paper without hurting their business. Check out the article! It's a good read, especially if we're always reading about just the internet marketing aspect. Sometimes it's good to know about traditional marketing to compare the two.

I am currently also taking a print media class and this conversation of print marketing vs online and social media marketing. I think that in this day and age, having a portfolio that encompasses the most innovative and creative uses for both internet and print media will be beneficial for marketing your products.

Thanks for the article! Was able to incorporate it into my research paper. I don't think that it is safe to say that one prefers one method (print or digital) over the other. It really is about creating a balance of the two that best suits the need and nature of your business.
