CoTweet, a service that helps companies reach and engage with customers through twitter, has just upgraded from its free beta version to a enterprise version, charging $1,500 a month.

"According to CoTweet, paying customers get reach analytics, engagement analytics, influence analytics, a lifetime archive of customer interactions, faster Twitter updates, and account management from a dedicated resource."

I remember you mentioning earlier in the year that Twitter should institute a fee for some services they provide...what a coincidence, several weeks later they do so.

I love the companies that have already jumped on the boat:

McDonald's. Microsoft, Coca-Coal and Ford.

it's not like they're some of the largest companies in the US or anything...oh wait, they are.

We can expect more billion dollar industries to jump on the bandwagon.

It's about time Twitter got the ball rolling on a revenue system.
