Linkedin and Twitter's Connection

For those skeptical about twitter and linkedins partnership, linkedin has seen an outrageous increase in status updates with 200 of their users. These 200 users actually have their status updating every minute. It amazes me that people are updating their status that often, but it is showing that this partnership can be a success.

Twitter and Linkedin

I think it makes a lot of sense for Twitter and Linkedin to partner. As we all know from in class discussions, a vast majority of tweeting is part of marketing and business development. Well, Linkedin is all about building networks as well. They are alike in that way. I think they will both benefit from this partnership, rather than take away from one or the other. I hope that Linkedin stays a STRICTLY PROFESSIONAL source though. I remember when Facebook was strictly college students and loved it, and obviously for them it paid off to expand, but I think it is great for something like Linkedin to exist, for its professional nature. This is the only negative thing I could maybe see happening, since Twitter is not ALL professional, and we don't want to start getting spammers and teens on the site.
