The NHL is using Twitter lists to create lists of fans through crowdsourcing. NHL fans are rapidly requesting to be put on lists and fans are networking with each other more than ever before. This has also exposed some issues with Twitter lists that may not have been thought about before:

It's great that finally the NHL has actually caught up with other major league sports. The NFL and MLB have already been doing this from quite sometime and it's helped raise a lot of revenue for both organization so it should provide the support the NHL needs to grow even bigger.

I was never aware of this till now, this is a good effort but I am still behind on my Hockey information. Good to see people turning finally but I always wonder why they took so much time to join.
