Age distribution of Facebook users

This kind of answers my question of adoption to social networks by older crowds. It's a cool article that breaks down Facebook users by age, and gives a lot of great information.

It's an interesting fact that facebook is being adopted by an older crowd, when really a few years ago, it was something that was solely for college students. It has definatly made a boom in the social media society and is helping adults be more active on the internet by meeting old school mates, planning get togethers and parties and simply staying on top of their friends lives. I think it is a good thing that facebook has reached out to all different age groups, even though i do not totally agree with my mom "friending" me on facebook. what will happen with age trends in the next five years?

From a humor aspect it just seems like parents would want to 'friend' their children on Facebook and follow them on Twitter as well. this means a lot of untagging and deleting of photos or multiple facebook profiles.

To respond to you Dr. Murthy, it is pretty funny sometimes. As I said on the other post, my grandparents got a facebook. And once my mom saw that they were using it, she got jealous...but she couldn't figure out how to use it herself so I had to set it up for her. It is pretty funny because now I have 3 aunts, 2 uncles, and my grandparents all as friends. Luckily, I have nothing to hide they wouldn't know but a part of me feels like if I did want some privacy, it would be gone now!
