This article expands on the idea that it is thought that in the future the items that are most likely to become "cutting edge" are " mobile marketing" as well as " digital marketing" and several others. It also states that the collection of research data using mobile devices will become much more cutting edge. ( KGB anyone?). This article also mentions the survey methods that are falling behind. Personal assistant on your phone

Now, you can have a personal assistant on your phone, all you need is a cell phone that runs a collection of API´s and you are done. In contrast, to google this new service allows you to get personalized and concise information. The service works by voice command. The application takes the request, and breaks it down into parts.


The user can tell that he wants to go on a date consisting on an Italian dinner for two and a movie, a comedy. This application will give the user a list of comedy selections and a list of Italian restaurants nearby. So, the user will only have to choose the restaurant and the movie.

This news stoke me because little by little we are getting to the point of delegating every single action to technology. Now, you just need a smartphone with the right functions and you can have a personalized information search.

Cell phone text message saved 3 Haitians after 5 days of the Earthquake

Three people were rescued from the debris caused by the Earthquake in Haiti because of a cell phone text message. The victims were trapped in a supermarket that collapsed. One of them sent a text message to the ONU using her cell phone. According to Joseph Fernandez, a rescue member of the South Florida Urban Search and Rescue, the text message said that she was inside the Caribbean Market, near from the fruits, meats and frozen products. The rescue team went to the place and chased the sounds that three people inside were making until they found them. The three people were Ariel, 7 years, Lamy 34 years and Maria, 50 years. Since the three of them were surrounded by food they could eat and survive.
