Music service coming soon to Facebook

I know a lot of users go to myspace to check out the artists’ music on their page like I always do because I'm a music person but facebook will have music service on it. If you look at the radiohead Facebook vs Myspace fans, 962,631 Facebook fans vs 199,240 Myspace friends that mean more users will go to facebook to check out the new music from the artist or new artists than going to Myspace. As you can see, Facebook have a lot of application than myspace to pull more Facebook users. Some users have their reason why they chose Myspace over Facebook or Facebook over Myspace.

I'm curious, if you are member of Facebook and Myspace and once the music service add on the Facebook, will you go to Facebook more often than Myspace for music or it won't make any difference?

I think it depends how Facebook integrates music.

One of the reasons I stopped using Myspace for music was because it takes a long time to load, and pages are usually very cluttered and in your face. There is too much content to process.

Since Facebook has a simpler design than most Myspace pages, I think that it will be more successful, an I would personally be more likely to use it.

Since I don't have a MySpace account, I would definitely only be interested in using Facebook for music.

A friend of mine has a band out of Penn State and he uses a Facebook 'Fan' page for the band. The page has a music player on there with three songs on it, and they also post a lot of music clips and links to YouTube videos on the wall.

Though they use the Facebook page for some music, they have links to their MySpace page all over the page, instructing fans to visit for more songs and information.

Clearly, Facebook has to come up with a great set up to capture the people who go to MySpace for music.
