Social Media Revolution

I am really into watching this channel on Youtube. Found another video, it has some overlapping statistics but offers some new great facts too.
Watch here.
I'm just going to sum up some quick facts...
-Social Media has overtaken porn as the #1 activity on the web
-80% of companies are using LinkedIn to hire employees
-Studies show Wikipedia is more accurate than English dictionary Britannica
-There are over 200,000,000 blogs, 54% of bloggers post or tweet daily
Ah there is so much! I reeeeeaaaaally recommend watching this. There is another statistic about 78% of people trusting peers, compared to 14% of people trusting advertisements. I mean, just wow. Something else that really hit me was about the news finding us, no longer us finding the news which is so true. Pretty sure I learned who got elected for President via Facebook statuses since I was in France at the time.
Oh and the Wikipedia fact! Interesting since we as students typically are not allowed to cite Wikipedia. I think it is great to get started using LinkedIn. For some of us, this could take away heat from our Facebooks when it comes to prospective employers. If they have some other means of looking up information on you, that has more appropriate content, it is a win win.
While watching this video, a little ad bubble popped up that said "Privacy of Facebook Video Click here". I clicked, but the video had been removed. Kinda makes you wonder who and why it was deleted.
Again, HIGHLY recommend you watch this!!!
