Twitter as an outlet for debating issues  

This article talked about how online communities have a more influential impact on debating issues in comparison to traditional media outlets. Specifically, the House of Commons had raised a controversial question that they didn't want spreading. However, because of Twitter, "the question itself had possibly become the most reprinted and widest spread question ever raised in the British Parliament." It just shows that people are less afraid to express their opinions on social communities such as Twitter. More after the link.
