Windows mobile app store, My Phone service officially opening

Just like Microsoft developed the Zune in order to remain competitive with Apple, they are now releasing a mobile phone, and consequently an app store, in order to compete with the iPhone. Do you think Microsoft will experience success?

I think it's going to be very hard for Microsoft to keep up with the iPhone. Apps have been around for the iPhone for a long time now and even RIM created App World for Blackberry. I have a Blackberry and an iPod Touch and I still think the apps for the iPod are so much better. Also, the Google phone also has an app store and yet I think the iPhone app store is still the most popular. So with all the competition, it's going to be hard for Microsoft to be successful.

One thing that I thought Microsoft may have an advantage is the fact that Zune just requires a membership fee and you can get unlimited downloads. While for Apple, you have to pay for everything you download unless the app is free.
