More uses for the iPhone

Posted by Celeste in , ,

I was reading through some recent new releases and came across this interesting news release about a new interesting application for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. It is true that there is an application out there for almost anything that one could imagine. Amongst the thousands of applications out there another arises for people with MS. (Multiple Sclerosis)

This application called i-inject, allows people with MS to organize and keep a journal without carrying paper and/or notebooks with them everywhere. Instead they can now whip out their iPhone or iPod Touch and keep record of anything for injections, and oral meds, to emails and coversations with their doctor. I could see more uses for this if Apple releases the supposed 'tablet'. I've had discussions with family in the medical field about it and they've said that something like that would be a great tool to have. Of course, due to long shifts, i'd image Apple would have to work on their battery life issues.

This topic is of great interest to me because my grandmother had Multiple Sclerosis. I don't think this would have benefited my grandmother personally because she was too old and far from tech savvy. However it would have been nice to see our personal care aids use this application so my family could better monitor her condition and keep records of the medicine those aids gave her.
