Social Networking sites are popular all over the world. Why is this popular and how do companies benefit from it? The research gives you some surprising findings.

Surprising finding of social networking sites (not including LinkedIn)

• People love to look at pictures and profiles
• Men likes to look at females that they don't know
  
• Females like to look at females that they know

Why?
People who post pictures of themselves can show they are having fun and are popular without having to boast. Also,in reality, there is a strong norm against prying into others' lives. But online social networking sites enable you to do it without really prying into it. Additionally, women receive two-thirds of all page views. Believe or not, a lot of guys in relationship are looking at women they don't know. They think it is an easy way to see if anyone might be a better match.
